The Good and Bad of Snow Leopard

October 1, 2009

Snow Leopard is the new operating system for Mac computers. I’ve been using Macs since the first in 1984 and have gone through some pretty brutal upgrades over time. This has been a much more positive experience. As always, it’s smart to back up important documents and files before any major changes like this. Once I back-up I checked the list below to see that my essential programs would be available to me. Some require updates, no big deal, it’s easy these days.

I completed the backup and it’s been great. Lots of enhancements, not the least of is that Safari now runs in 64 bit, much-much faster.
